Founded as a Community Interest Company (CIC), we are committed to addressing the unique mental and emotional health challenges faced by men of African descent. Our goal is to dismantle stigma, inspire personal growth, and empower men to:
Men of African descent often face societal stigma around expressing emotions or seeking help for mental health. According to a study by Mind UK, individuals from Black communities are significantly more likely to experience mental health issues but are less likely to access professional support.
Man in the Mirror UK aims to bridge this gap by creating a space where men can share their experiences, find guidance, and build a sense of belonging.
We believe that when men heal, communities transform. By empowering men, we create ripples of change that uplift families, workplaces, and society as a whole.
Our goal is to build a more rounded society with emotionally intelligent men who are equipped to communicate effectively with the world around them and lead fulfilling lives. Through a series of events and workshops across cities worldwide, we facilitate non-judgmental spaces for discussions, led by experts in mental health and emotional intelligence. Beyond physical gatherings, we're developing a secure digital platform where men can connect with professionals anonymously, accessing resources and tools to manage their mental health.
" Our mission is to be the platform and intermediary that assists men on their journey towards a better tomorrow. By offering events, workshops, and a digital platform, we provide men with the tools, resources, and support necessary to enhance their emotional well-being and improve their ability to communicate effectively with the world around them. Join us as we pave the way for a brighter future, one step at a time. Together, we're creating a world where every man can thrive—empowered, resilient, and connected "
